Joe Berkley
Joel is a thirty+ year veteran in the HVAC/R industry including owning and operated his
own HVAC company. His unique training techniques and principles come from years of
"hands-on" experiences as a business owner. His experiences also include sales manager
of one of the largest HVAC companies in Kentucky, business owner and sales manager of
Ferguson Enterprises in Louisville, KY. After years of dealer development for Ferguson,
he started Joel Berkley HVAC Consultant Inc. His "Circle of Sixteen" marketing program
is presently being used thoughout the country and said to be the best replacement lead
generator ever developed.

John Walsh

John has served the HVAC/R industry in many capacities over the past 38 years.
As a contractor, he was responsible for installation and service for HVAC and
refrigeration systems. He worked in both residential and commercial application. In addition to
servicing his customer, who were throughout eastern New England, John was responsible for hiring
and managing a staff of up 7 employees.
Following his time on Cape Cod, John worked in the Greater Boston area selling the services of
several HVAC contracting firms, managing projects, including a large apartment complex rehab.
He then began as the National Sales Manager for Wright Associates (now Wrightsoft), the developers
of ACCA's software for Heat Loads, Duct Sizing, Equipment Selection, Operating Costs, Geothermal
Loop Design. While at Wright Associates, John assisted in the development and testing for Right-N,
the Commercial Heat Load program.
Currently, John is a Manufacturer's Rep, serving Kentucky, southern Ohio, Indiana, and West Virginia.
The firm, TradRep, carries an extensive line of supplies and accessories for the HVAC industry, pumps,
refrigeration equipment.
Throughout his time in the HVAC/R industry, John has also taught classes through both vocational
technical schools and for distributors and other organizations. For the past 10 years, John has
taught, along with his wife Jobie, basic residential heat load classes and heat load software.

Jobie has worked for over 30 years in marketing and advertising. She was a partner in an
advertising agency in Boston, MA, Jasmin Advertising, where she specialized in new product
introduction and business to business communication. Among the agency's clients were Reebok,
PaperMate and the Boston Celtics. In addition, the agency handled special projects for
Gillette, Digital, and Foster Grant.
While pursuing advanced degrees from Bentley College, Waltham, MA, Jobie worked part time
providing marketing and advertising assistance to Wright Associates (now Wrightsoft). While
there she developed a training course for residential heat load calculations. This course was
designed to provide a basic understanding of the process, and therefore making it easier to
understand and apply the software application.
Jobie was the editor/ production designer for the New England, New York, Keystone and Mid-Atlantic
HVAC Insider publications. She was responsible for developing, writing and editing stories
appropriate for the HVAC contractors in those regions.
Following completion of her advanced degree, Jobie joined the faculty of West Virginia State
College and University of Charleston as an adjunct faculty member in marketing. Currently she
is a full-time instructor in marketing at Northern Kentucky University, teaching courses in
sales, consumer behavior and marketing.
