The Elite Software Windows based Rhvac program for ACCA Manual J, D, and S HVAC calculations is Elite's best selling program. A standard feature built into Rhvac for many years has been the ability to create a project data file for the Florida based EnergyGauge (EG) software. The EG software has been state funded and has been used for Home Energy Ratings (HERS) and for Florida state energy compliance reports for a number of years. Funding from the state of Florida has now ended, and the EG software is no longer being marketed. It's possible that some outside group could take over the EG software in the near future. A number of independent vendors such as Ekotrope (www.ekotrope.com) have long competed with EG in providing HERS, Energy Star, and various IECC reports. So whatever happens with EG, there are already other ways to create similar reports to what EG creates.

Elite Software recommends Ekotrope, and encourages you to explore the File/Export EnergyGauge USA selection in current Rhvac 10 versions of the software. This selection creates an .ENB data file that can be read by the Ekotrope software, such that you do not have to reenter your building data into Ekotrope if you have already entered it into Rhvac 10. This selection will be renamed in the near future to File/Export ENB Data File for Ekotrope.

Also watch for an Rhvac 10.2 update coming soon that adds the new ACCA Design Review Form RPER 2.0 report. This report is often requested by inspectors aorund the country, so the ability to automatically generate it from any Rhvac 10 project file is a nice bonus.
