Elite Software recently released a free downloadable update for existing Rhvac 10 users that can import HVAC equipment nominal performance data from the AHRI web site here. Rhvac 10 is a program for ACCA Manual J, D, and S HVAC calculations. If you are still using Rhvac 9, you can see the new features in Rhvac 10 here. Rhvac 9 users can upgrade to Rhvac 10 for $370 by ordering from here.

One of the new features of Rhvac 10 is the support of the new equipment SEER2, EER2, and HSPF2 ratings. All of the nominal performance values for every AHRI certified model can be found here. The AHRI web site allows you to download data for up to 250 models per download into an Excel spreadsheet file. Multiple downloads are allowed, and Rhvac 10 now has the ability to import this data into your own custom equipment database files.

Although the AHRI data is only "nominal" performance data, which means that it is only valid at AHRI test conditions, which include a 95°F outdoor temperature and an 80°F indoor temperature, it is still quite useful to be able to import the very long indoor and outdoor model numbers involved for each model. If you can get these long, tedious model numbers brought in for the units you actually sell, then you can use the nominal capacity data as is, or add your own adjusted sensible and latent capacity data as well.

Rhvac 10 has long had the ability to create custom equipment database files, but you always had to type in those long model numbers yourself. With this new release of Rhvac 10, creating custom equipment data files is now easier than ever. See this video here on creating an Rhvac 10 custom equipment database file.
