The Elite Software Windows based Chvac program for ASHRAE based commercial load calculations is one of Elite's best selling programs. Chvac continually receives minor corrections and small improvements. A new 8.3 update for Chvac is available for downloading here. 

Many of these small changes are quite helpful. Some examples just added include increasing the character limit for the Custom Text input on the Custom Report window from 2,000 to 32,000, expanding the allowed indoor design temperatures to include ranges often found in industrial processes, new Drawing selection techniques for full and partial rectangle inclusion, more Drawing Board templates, new round off temperature feature to your desired number of decimal places, new restore weather data for any city that may have been mistakenly modified, changed the default for the number of visible rows of cooling months on the Weather Database window from 4 to 12, and made this default apply to existing installations as well as new ones, and did the same for the Indoor Outdoor Design Conditions window. The above features are available free of charge to any existing Chvac 8.2 user that downloads Chvac 8.3. However there is a major new feature in Chvac 8.3 that is only active if a $149 update fee is paid. This is the ability to view and process weather data from 3,033 locations around the world as seen here. Chvac 8.3 allows you to process this hourly weather data and obtain peak heating and cooling design temperatures for every month at a location based on whether you want to use 1%, 2.5%, 5%, or any custom percent to limit extreme temperatures.
